Dad's Experience Today
Today dad and Kevin were working in Sing Sing prison. Taking down a huge tree. Dad had an awful feeling about it and a whole scene of what was going to happen flashed across his mind and he yelled to Kevin to stop, but because the chain saw and something else was running, Kevin didn't hear dad's warning and a trunk crashed into Kevin.
He was brought to the hospital in Sing Sing, which dad said is like a horror film, and dad ordered an ambulance come because he was taking his friend out of their. He didn't even let the doctors touch him. Of course, dad got into a fight with a security guard, but another security guard whispered to dad (on the side) that he would do the same thing for his friend. Dad was given a choice of a hospital close by but instead insisted on going to Westchester Medical Center.
Dad did not know the extent of the injuries when he called me today, but hopefully it just some broken bones. He could have died, of course. Every once in a while I am faced with the dangers of dad's job.
Kevin is still in a lot of pain. He is crying, Lisa said. Hopefully, he will mend quickly and nothing serious will be detected.
It was a very spiritual experience for dad today. He literally saw the whole accident before it happened. He felt inspired to move Kevin to a better hospital as well.
