Christmas

Today we out up our tree. No colored lights this year. I think it came out pretty. It's so bittersweet because I have memories of being a child and my Christmases at home with my grandparents and cousins and parents. And of course all our years of tree hunting and the chaos of putting it up. Then, of course, I am imagine now how it would be if you all lived closer and the kids would run in so excited to see me and the tree. But I have dad. And Charly and they both make everything better.

Last night was a Christmas festival in Rhinebeck. It was sooooo crowded. But it was a fun parade. Not at all Christmassy. But festive and fun. Then we went to China Rose where Jess works for dinner.
