Moose - A Rascal That Became a Legend

Last week we said a tear-fulled goodbye to Moose. He was our empty nest present from our daughters in college. He came as a runt of the litter rascal and grew into a 107 lb. legend. He loved to ride the jet ski. He liked to be the first one on. Swimming was his favorite sport. He loved children and toddlers and was often used as a cushion to rest on and watch TV, a toy to roll over or a step stool. He was a gentle giant and a true gentleman. "The endings here in mortality are not endings at all. They are merely interruptions—temporary pauses that one day will seem small compared to the eternal reunion awaiting us." We love you, Moose. ❤️❤️❤️

Facts about Moose:
  • Understood everything you said
  • Very vocal:  grunts, groans etc.
  • Whenever someone came to the house, he would bring them his toy.  He always felts everyone came just to play with him.
  • Love cookies.
  • Ate chocolate
  • In later years, he came afraid of the steps, and dining room and kitchen floors.  In the end, he wouldn't even like to walk in the hallway.
  • Entertained by Henri
  • Henri stole all of Moose's rawhides and treats and brought them into the bedroom -- Henri knew that Moose couldn't run up the stairs after him.
  • Huge paws and always patted you with them to get your attention
  • Didn't travel much, except to the "lake."  He would get so excited to hear that word
  • He liked people much more than he liked other dogs.
